2 Cent Blue’s

January 31, 2011

Hello all!  Hope you’re weekend was swell!

Plans changed and I was able to attend the 2 Cent event this past weekend in Milwaukee.  Amanda, her beau, Dan, and I went to Stonefly early so that we could enjoy some dinner before it got too crazy, which was a good idea because at one point there wasn’t an empty chair in the place.  Dinner was delish! We started off with some soft pretzels w/ beer cheese & Stonefly’s very own Stout mustard (very tasty).  We had an assortment of burgers/sandwiches for dinner and of course we washed them down with some of Stonefly’s brews, the Mustache Ride Pale Ale, Six Fingers IPA, and Brewtown Brown.

As far as the 2 Cent Launch Party goes, we sampled some vodka and rum from Great Lakes Distillery, danced to the DJ, bought raffle tickets and more!  (Our friend, Jason, bought 6 raffle tickets and won with 4 of them!  Lucky guy!)

On Sunday, we started our day off with bloody Marys, mimosas and breakfast at Blue’s Egg.  Let me tell you, this place is fantastic!  The old world meets new by infusing traditional ingredients, fresh products, and made-from-scratch techniques .  Plus, their efforts in supporting causes, organizations and individuals makes this place pretty awesome.  Don’t believe us?  Go check it out for yourselves, you’d be happy if you did.

Now you’re probably thinking all we did over the weekend was eat.  We did do quite a bit of eating BUT we also got lots of work done!  We did some scheduling, project planning, sanding & painting.  You’ll soon be seeing what we were painting!  Stay tuned!
