The wedding post

December 26, 2011
Hello there!

It’s almost the end of 2011, where did the time go? As promised, here is the complete wedding post. From the preparations to the day of, it’s all here! Enjoy!

Earlier in the year, the colors were selected for the wedding. However, being a designer, it was a little tough to decide what the whole thing was actually going to look like. Thank God for Mel and her amazing graphic design skills. The save the dates, invites, programs, place cards, and thank you’s were all her.

Then came the table set up. After taking one set of centerpieces back to the store and changing the setup several times, my now-husband finally said, “Just pick something already!” Sometimes us designers just need a little push:) My favorite part of the tables? The party crackers Mel and I made (this was her amazing idea!)

How would people know where they were going? Mel and I made some signs with the aide of her Silhouette machine.

Now for the most important part-food and drinks! We had an amazing caterer who supplied our bellies with some good old southern fare. Mini crab cakes, cornbread, fried green tomatoes were just a few of the yummy eats. Warning, these pictures may induce drooling.

Don't mind the kissing, check out those plates!

Firefly sweet tea vodka and lemonade-the best cocktail hour drink!

The day went by without a hitch. Well, there was the matter of the 40 degree temperature once the sun went down…but we’re from Wisconsin so we handled it! Now the amazing day is over, as well as the holidays, and Mel and I are ready to jump back into the Re-Deux blogging for 2012. Enjoy some more pictures of the day.
