TGIF!  With the weekend just around the corner and the hope of finishing all sorts of projects grows stronger, let me tell you about this gem I just came across that will intensify your DIY spirit.  I introduce to you, Whimseybox!  A beautifully designed site that gathers a plethora of DIY and craft projects, lets you connect with a community of makers, and best of all, you can purchase the supplies needed for those projects.  I don’t know what rock I’ve been living under but I’m so glad I stumbled upon Whimseybox, it’s my latest obsession.  I’ve always thought that ‘if you pin it, you should make it’, and Whimseybox helps you do just that!  Enough of my rambling, get over there and check it out for yourself.

Happy Crafting!

Thrifted: Vintage Mirror

July 31, 2014

Hello all!  This week’s thrifted find cost me a whole $3!  It’s big and heavy, and there are a few chips along the edge, as well as a some cracks but I still think it’s pretty.  I may leave it this way for awhile, but let’s be serious, it’ll probably get painted at some point.  What do you think, a neutral, bright, pastel, neon….oh the decisions.   Now to find the perfect spot to hang it. Have you found any great finds lately?  If so, we want to see them!

Re-Deux: Flower pots

July 25, 2014

Hello lovelies!  Things have been busy on the Re-Deux front (lots of pieces still in progress) but we have managed to complete a few small projects, like giving these flower pots an upgrade with some bright colored paint.  A little color really jazzes up the patio, especially if the plants are mostly green.  What do you think, do you prefer colored planters or neutral?

Plus, these little guys were a thrifty find at $2 a piece, and they are heavy duty.  Can’t go wrong there!  Have a great weekend, especially if you have some DIY projects in the works!

Thrifted Finds: Wilmot Flea Market

July 15, 2014

Sunday Mel and I headed to the Wilmot Mountain Flea Market. It is an unusual venue, as Wilmot Mountain is actually a snow skiing hill. It’s a little surreal seeing chair lifts hanging over acres of green grass! This flea market has lots of small items like clothing, glassware, jewelry, tools, etc. There was not really much furniture for us to purchase, but my find of the day was this globe for $10!

Do you have a favorite summer flea market or thrifting spot? Let us know!
